Indigenous fermentation with 50% whole bunches, matured in 50% new French oak barrels, unfined and unfiltered. Note - Same winemaking practices applied to all batches.
The Malbec comes from an Argentinean clone grown in the Heathcote region and contributes beautiful blue fruit character. The Merlot is from the cool climate Strathbogie Ranges to give roundness and a fresh acid line. A beautifully balance medium bodied wine, taste
Dark cherry, satsuma plums and red berry aromas savory woodland earthiness with crunchy red berries and fine, firm tannins. An elegant mouthfeel with a fresh finish characteristic of Pinot Noir.
After over 20 years of making wine, I am just going to say it. Pinot noir is the sexiest grape variety. And believe me, I have made more than my share of varieties.
