2022 Hat Rock Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

Hand-harvested and wild fermented with around 50% whole bunches. Extended skin contact helps give this wine wonderful structure. Gently pressed into 50% new French oak for 11 months before being bottled on site at Lethbridge. 

"Planted on black clay at a vineyard at Port Arlington that has been leased since 2003. About 50% whole bunches and 50% new French barriques. A medium, bright garnet. Brooding with dark fruits, blood orange and a little olive tapenade. The palate is dense and gently rustic with firm tannins rounding out a wine that's begging for some protein now or cellaring for six to eight years." Philip Rich, Halliday
