Every week we seem to get emails requesting wine for various events, tastings, shows etc and so a about six weeks ago when Gordon Little from Little Peacock Imports and Eric Asimov from The New York Times asked us to send wine for a dinner at New York restaurant The Spotted Pig we thought it sounded like something a bit special. The dinner was intended to showcase Australian red wines and to breakdown some of the stereotypes that exist, namely that Australia only produces big bold shiraz. We were very excited last week when The New York Times published an article that featured the 12 favorite wines from this tasting and the 2008 Mietta Pinot Noir rates a mention. If you are interested to read the article you can find it here.
