Lethbridge Wines

We are once again holding our New Release Wine Launch event at the winery to showcase our recent and upcoming wine releases.  This year we are having one huge day of tastings on Sunday the 14th of October with the whole Lethbridge team available to explain the wines and share your perspectives.

Last Sunday we held our Italian Benchmark Tasting at the winery with a selection of Italian wine varieties and styles made in Italy and Australia.  We discovered interesting similarities and inspirational differences between the benchmark wines and our own, and the tasting has definately helped with our direction for Italian style Lethbridge wines in the future.  There was a large variety of varieties, styles, regions and vintages but we were very pleased that one of the favourite wines of the day was the 2008 Lethbridge Hugo George Sangiovese Merlot.  The balance and complexity that this wine shows at such a young age is very promising for its future.

We are planning an Italian Benchmark Tasting for Sunday August 26 to preview our 2012 Italian reds and taste some inspirational wines from Italy and Australia.  See the events page for bookings in very limited numbers.

The Australian wine 'Bible' - James Halliday Wine Companion 2013 - has been released this week and includes some great new reviews of Lethbridge wines.  As well as maintaining our red five star winery status, the 2009 Allegra Chardonnay has been included in the 'Best of the Best' and given 96 points.  We had many other great scores including 94 points for the 2010 Shiraz, 2010 Pinot Noir and 2011 Pinot Gris.  To celebrate we are offering a four pack of these wines for a special price here.
